Talk: Learning from Nature – Daniel Ogden

Talk ”Learning from Nature” – Daniel Ogden

UPPSALA | Thursday 11 April at 19.00

LEARNING FROM NATURE – a talk by Daniel Ogden

“Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it” (Often wrongly attributed to Mark Twain)

We tend to take the weather for granted, but should we, now that climate change is forcing us to re-examine our lives?

What can literature teach us about the weather and how it impacts our lives?

In order to answer that question, Daniel Ogden will discuss the importance of weather in a selection of works by William Shakespeare, William Blake, George Eliot, Joseph Conrad, and Virginia Woolf.

Thursday 11th April at 19:00
Tickets 70:- (incl. tea and cake). Limited space – get your ticket today!
