Author Visit & Talk – Don Kulick:
A DEATH IN THE RAINFOREST
How a language and a way of life came to an end in Papua New Guinea

Don Kulick is an anthropologist who has spent some 30 years visiting an isolated community in Papua New Guinea trying to learn the language and the culture, making friends, but also dodging ambushes and witnessing deep changes to the villagers’ way of life.

Listen to him talking about his experiences and learn more about a very different way of life – maybe one on the brink of extinction.

Time Magazine named his book one of their 32 Books You Need to Read This Summer, and National Geographic put it on their Best Travel Books of Summer list.
