Maggie Gee, a multiple award-winning British novelist, wants to talk to you about literature! Join us in the Stockholm shop for a breakfast talk.

Maggie has written eleven books and was the first female chair of the Royal Society of Literature. A long-time creative writing teacher, Maggie is currently working with Stockholm University’s creative writing students. 

In this talk Maggie will be reading from some of her more recent work and answering all your best writerly and readerly questions.

Tao Lin is an American novelist, poet, essayist, short-story writer, and artist. He has published three novels, several books of poetry, short stories and novellas. His latest novel is Taipei, now being published in Swedish by Constant Reader. In it, New Yorker Paul navigates between the art and literary scenes of Manhattan, and Taipei in Taiwan, confronting his family roots.

Tao Lin is considered one of the main figures of the literary movement called Alt Lit, where social media and internet are used as tools for writing, publishing and literary talks.

Tao Lin will be in conversation with poet and writer Elis Burrau, literary editor at Nöjesguiden.

Welcome to our first breakfast talk of the season!

Called one of 2014’s most exciting debutant by The Guardian, at the age of 50, Nell Zink is no ordinary writer. Her debut novel The Wallcreeper, which she started writing for the American novelist Jonathan Franzen during their correspondence, was named one of 100 notable books by The New York Times that year. Her second book Mislaid was longlisted for the National Book Award.

Nell was brought up in rural Virginia and has worked in the construction, pharmaceutical, and software industries. In the ’90s she founded an indie rock fanzine, and her writing has also appeared in n+1. She is now a translator living in Germany.
