Sign up for a Book Subscription

How do I pay?  You pre-pay via Swish (or secure online card payment if you don’t have Swish), the entire subscription period is pre-paid at sign-up. Discounted prices if you sign up and pay for 6 or 12 months!). Payment instructions on the sign-up form.

When will I receive my first book? If you sign up before the 10th of the month, you will get the pick of the current month as your first book. Sign up later and we’ll start your subscription with next month’s pick.

 Oh, I can’t pick just one category – there all so interesting! They sure are! You can pick a favourite category, or up to three and have us alternate between them. (If you’re picking up your books at a bookshop, you can also swap the book set aside for you for any other Book of the Month in stock at the shop – should you really want to mix it up some time.)

I want, no I need, more than one book per month! We know the feeling… Just add a note on the subscription form and we’ll sort it for you. Just multiply the subscription prices (and any added postage) with the number of books you want each month.

Can I give a subscription as a gift to someone? Sure you can (and what a nice giver you are!). You can gift an on-going subscription, or time-limit it to 3 months, 6 months, or an entire year.

What if I’ve already read the book? You are a frequent reader! Did you like the book? Perhaps it would make a great gift for someone else. Otherwise you can exchange it at one of our bookshops or just send it back to us unread (return postage is on you though). Please contact us at bookclub@bookshop.se first so we can help you out. The risk that you’ve already read the book is rather slim though…

This sounds dangerous, like a literary Russian roulette! No need to worry, there’s no risk of bloodshed. The risk of discovering new favourite authors is higher though… We like to call it – literary serendipity!

How do I know when there’s a new book to pick up? Your local bookshop will notify you when there’s a new lovely read waiting for you at the shop. (Oh, and if you pick up at a bookshop, you can switch category on-the-fly at the shop). 

I don’t live near one of your bookshops… We miss having you around, but we’re sure you live in a lovely place anyway. You can have your books delivered to your door by post for just an added postage fee of 45:- per month. It’s like a bus ticket for your books, all the way to your door though.

I don’t even live in Sweden! No need to worry, we’ll send you the book anywhere in the Nordic countries and rest of the EU for an added postage fee of 95:- per month. Pre-paid for the entire subscription period as usual.

Participating in our local Reading Groups? Please note, that if you’re a regular participant in any of the Reading Groups at our local bookshops, you will be able to buy the next month’s book sooner by buying it at the previous meeting (or in the shop when signing up for a meeting), than you will from a book subscription.
