We’re always looking for our next great bookseller.

Yes, working in a bookshop is exactly as good as you imagine – and also quite different. It’s early mornings unpacking deliveries, hand-selling novels to strangers, answering the question ”I can’t remember the title or the author but the cover was sort of blue?” with genuine enthusiasm. It’s being part of something small, independent, and genuinely loved.

We’re The English Bookshop – Sweden’s home for English-language books, with shops in Uppsala, Stockholm, Göteborg, and soon Malmö. We’re a small team and we don’t hire often, but when we do, we want to find the right person.

If that might be you, we’d love to hear from you. We’re especially keen to hear from people based in Malmö or Skåne ahead of our new opening there.

What we’re looking for
You don’t need a CV full of retail experience. You do need a real love of books, a knack for talking to people, and the kind of enthusiasm that’s still there at the end of a busy Saturday.
