Welcome to a conversation in the Uppsala bookshop with Eurocon Guest of Honour Martha Wells, and the ­English Bookshop Special Guest Sarah Underwood, on the many facets of writing.

From experiencing publication for the first time, or returning to a series or character that’s well known, to writing for a young adult demographic in the age of BookTok, or re-shaping a story or world already established and making it your own.

The panel is followed by a signing and a mingle in the bookshop.

Marina Elezovic (MAR) is a Croatian/Canadian indie folk singer songwriter based in London, currently recording her third album. She’ll start performing in our summer street outside the shop and then brings her performance in to our cozy bookshop.

We are proud to host author Laura Kate Dale for a talk about her anthology book Gender Euphoria as part of WestPride in Göteborg.

Laura has assembled stories from non-cisgender authors who wants to share and celebrate the euphoric feelings they have experienced in coming out.

The book shows how there is another side to coming out as non-cisgender than the discomfort-filled one most often showed and discussed in the public eye. To finally being able to be ones most authentic self, unrestrained by the gender identity assigned to us based on our biological sex at birth, can be filled with happiness and freedom.
