What I read on my Zanzibar vacation!

in

Well, I managed six novels during the trip, four of them set in Zanzibar! It was quite tricky to track down novels set in Zanzibar, and I unfortunately failed to find any written by zanzibari authors. The only zanzibari author I could find was the Booker shortlisted Abdulrazak Gurnah, but none of his novels are set in Zanzibar! So I wound up with:

Winners announced! –the Kevin MacNeil competition

A Method Actor's Guide to Jekyll and Hyde by Kevin MacNeilKevin MacNeil is from the Isle of Lewis, which in gaelic is Leòdhas. Lewis is half of Lewis & Harris (Leòdhas agus na Hearadh) which is part of the Outer Hebrides (Na h-Eileanan Siar). So the answer we were fishing for was Leòdhas. And the winners are: Veronica S in Täby and Merimbe in Lund! Congratulations!
