Book Launch & Talk: ”The Quantified Self” with Sara Riggare

Monday 9 November at 19:00–21:00
Free

📈 Have you ever tracked your sleep, your mood or your coffee intake and wondered what it all really means?

Join us in the bookshop for an evening of talk and celebration. Sara Riggare, spetspatient, patient researcher and researcher at Uppsala University, will speak about ”The Quantified Self: Learning to Observe”, which she has co-written with Gary Wolf and their colleagues in the Personal Science Research Group.

The book is a practical guide to scientific reasoning at the scale of a single life: how to ask a question, observe, reason and discover, using careful attention and your own data.

Sara has lived this for years. For her, a year of managing Parkinson’s disease means roughly one hour with healthcare and 8,765 hours on her own, and she has built her research around what happens in those hours.

Expect a thoughtful, down-to-earth talk for anyone curious about self-tracking, patient-led research or simply learning more about their own body and habits.

📘 Q&A and book signing. Copies of the book will be on sale in the shop.
