Breakfast Talk: Ann-Marie Vinde on Emily Dickinson
(tickets for sale in the Stockholm bookshop)
What could be better than poetry and breakfast on a cold November morning?
Emily Dickinson (1830–1886) is considered one of America’s most significant poets. Her style was unique for the era in which she wrote, and a complete and unaltered collection of her poetry wasn’t made available until long after her death.
Ann-Marie Vinde is a linguist and one of Emily Dickinson’s Swedish translators. On this very special morning, Ann-Marie will introduce us to the life and poetry of Dickinson. The parallell text poetry collection with Ann-Marie’s translations, ”Min flod flyter mot dig: Sextio dikter av Emily Dickinson”, will be on sale at the event.
