Seven months after signing the contract on our new premises in Malmö – after a complete rebuild, a long summer, a beautiful temporary seven week stint in the sneak preview shop – the Palace of Book Magic is finally finally ready for us to move in! We are beyond excited to share the beauty of our new space with you!
Welcome to our GRAND OPENING on SATURDAY 17 OCTOBER AT 10:00!
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony by USA TODAY bestselling author Letizia Lorini (!) at 10:00 and there will be goodie bags for the first 35 customers!
Make sure to put this in your calendars and set your alarms!
The shop will be closed on Thursday and Friday. The temporary shop will stay open until 18.00 on Wednesday 14 October. Thursday and Friday we’ll be shut – frantically preparing for the big day…

We are finally planning to pack our book bags and get everything ready for the opening of The English Bookshop at Södra Förstadsgatan 4.
And we do have some news for you!
Whilst our permanent shop needs some extra time before opening its doors to all the book lovers, we will give said book lovers a lil’ sneak peek of what we are and what we offer before the Grand Opening. A not-so-little appetiser before we dig in, so to speak…
This Sneak Preview, as we call it, will open towards the end of August (opened on Saturday 29 August), and you can expect books, books, and more books – amongst other fun happenings (!).
You’ll find us in the same building as the upcoming permanent shop, just two doors west (still at number 4).
