Elly Griffiths is the author of the Dr Ruth Galloway series, about the forensic archaeologist Ruth Galloway on the Norfolk coast that has achieved great success worldwide.
The Brighton Mysteries series (featuring DI Edgar Stephens and magician Max Mephisto) take place in her home town of Brighton, and in the Harbinder Kaur series we’re introduced to the intuitive DS Harbinder Kaur. She has also written a series of mystery books for children, the Girl Called Justice series.
Domenica was this year’s Adam Helms lecturer at Uppsala University, the lecture is postponed from September until Spring 2022 due to pandemic restrictions.
Griffiths has received the Mary Higgins Clark Award and the CWA Dagger in the Library Award for her writing. Griffiths has a background in the publishing world and, before her debut, she worked as a children’s book editor at HarperCollins.
Elly lives near Brighton with her husband, an archaeologist, two children and their cat, Gus.
