Don’t miss one of the foremost authorities on the Beats, doing a special talk at The English Bookshop in Stockholm.

We are thrilled to welcome Ann Charters, a retired professor of English at The University of Connecticut and a patron saint of the bookshop, who on this night will discuss The Beats and The Blues. There will also be an exclusive book sale of the late music historian, writer and producer Sam Charter’s books.

Ann published her critically acclaimed biography of Jack Kerouac in 1973 and it’s never been out of print since. In addition to this, she has edited the Portable Jack Kerouac, The Selected Letters of Jack Kerouac 1940-56 & 1957-69, and several volumes on the Beat Generation.

The Stockholm shop is moving! We've had 7 amazing years since we opened the shop in Gamla stan, and business has grown so much we simply need more space. We're moving the shop to new exciting (and larger) premises in the SoFo district of Södermalm.

The shop will be closed on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th while we transfer all the books to the new shop, and on Monday we'll open the door to the new shop on Södermannagatan 22 in Södermalm.
