UPPSALA & STOCKHOLM | Wednesday 18th November

Since The Uppsala English Bookshop first opened up its doors to the public that November day in 1995, a lot has happened: bigger (and bigger!) venue, a second shop opened in Stockholm, several reading groups and ­becoming a natural part of daily life in Uppsala.

On Wednesday 18th November we kick off the celebrations with 20% off everything and extra late opening hours with anniversary parties in both the Uppsala and Stockholm shops. Drop in at any time after six to mingle, enjoy snacks, drinks, and extra festivities.

The anniversary 20% discount is valid all day Wednesday in Stockholm, and all week until Sunday in the Uppsala shop.

We are super excited about this visit in the Stockholm shop – this author’s first novel completely blew our socks off! His name is Max Porter, and he’s a senior editor at Granta Books and Portobello Books. He previously managed an independent bookshop and won the Young Bookseller of the Year award. We’ve invited him from London to come and discuss his debut novel Grief is the Thing with Feathers.
