Just back from the Gothenburg bookfair which was terrific, we got to meet many lovely customers and also were priviliged to spend time with a lot of authors such as Ingrid Betancourt, Jenny Valentine, Paul Muldoon, Colm Toibin... The list goes on - pictures at our Facebook page! We then came home to Swecon 2012 and did signings with Joe Abercrombie, Kelly Link, Peter Watts and Caitlin Sweet! Again - pictures on our facebook page.

This Friday we’re doing a signing with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie! It’s not in the shop but at the Nordic Africa Institute in town. It’s been an amazing author period for us!

Books of the Month for October! Our freshest choices!

Fiction: Yes! We’re finally doing a book by the fantastic (but not well known, at least not in Sweden) Dana Spiotta. Her book Stone Arabia is our Book of the Month for October. It is a moving novel about family, obsession, memory, and the urge to create—in isolation, at the margins of our winner- take-all culture.

British Crime: Edward Marston – A Bespoke Murder. The first in a new series by the terrific Edward Marston this takes place at the Home Front in 1915. A German tailor is found murdered...

Non-fiction: Tina Fey - Bossypants. Insightful book from a very funny human being. Tough Crime: C J Box - Back of Beyond. The best book by Box since the amazing Blue Heaven!

Fantasy: Lee Battersby – The Corpse-Rat King. A stunning debut novel, well-crafted and grotesquely inventive.

Science Fiction: John C Wright – Count to a Trillion. Fantastic new space opera from the author of the Golden Age trilogy.

Paranormal: Ilona Andrews - Gunmetal Magic. Set in an alternate Atlanta controlled by three magical factions.
